A whopping number of people attended QuiltCon 2024 in Raleigh, smashing previous attendance records. And more quilts were submitted to the show than ever before! Let’s take a look at the numbers.

QuiltCon 2024 is in the books and WOW what a show! The Modern Quilt Guild’s annual event took place in Raleigh, North Carolina this year and it was a riot of color and inspiration. Thousands of quilters attended, eager to connect with one another.

In 2023, I submitted quilts to a total of 21 exhibitions. Here’s a look at stats from those shows, including my acceptance rate, expenses, and more.

Last month, I attended my first-ever Quilt National opening at The Dairy Barn Arts Center in Athens, Ohio. It was a whirlwind weekend full of gorgeous quilts and great conversations with friends new and old.

A couple weeks ago, I took a trip to see the 2022 installment of Schweinfurth Art Center’s annual Quilts=Art=Quilts exhibition, as well as Judy Kirpich’s solo show Emotional Constructs.
