A whopping number of people attended QuiltCon 2024 in Raleigh, smashing previous attendance records. And more quilts were submitted to the show than ever before! Let’s take a look at the numbers.

QuiltCon 2024 is in the books and WOW what a show! The Modern Quilt Guild’s annual event took place in Raleigh, North Carolina this year and it was a riot of color and inspiration. Thousands of quilters attended, eager to connect with one another.

Over the past five years, my quilts have hung in museums, galleries, and convention centers around the world. Now I’m sharing what I learned about various submission processes so you can feel confident as you explore the big, wide world of exhibition opportunities.

It’s the QuiltCon 2020 recap you didn’t know you needed: heavy on numbers, light on pics. What started out as a simple goal to document the number of quilts hung in each category this year turned into a deep dive into submission, selection, and attendance numbers.
